Project Day Care
Project Day Care

The club’s Project Day Care is a package of projects that answer the call of Rotary International to promote literacy, water management and health among our children. It aims to develop the physical, emotional and educational well being of the 10,000 day care children enrolled in the more than 200 day care centers in the city.

The project has provided educational materials and facilities that can be used in the long term and can benefit present and future enrollees. Day care centers suffer from lack of budget and over crowded classrooms. The club is helping address the issue with literacy projects and day care worker motivation.

This Rotary Year, the Club has so far adopted twenty (20) day care centers which were provided with blackboards, books and other educational materials, video and audio equipment and educational aids. Each day care center was also provided with 100 literacy workbooks.

In addition, supplemental feeding programs were conducted and they were also provided with water dispensers.
